Colin Rose... A Young Magician of The Year (1967) Began his professional career some thirty five years ago when he worked at Davenports Magic in London, whilst working there he fell under the guidance of Patrick Page and together they developed "the winning act" for the Competition, subsequently going on to create "Fantasy In Flame"... one of the most commercial Fire Manipulation Acts ever!

Coming into 'Professional Magic' at the tail end of Clubs & Variety Theatre, Colin was able to learn his craft in the many Clubs & Theatres around England and at the same time attracting the notice of Agents in Europe, he was soon appearing in famous Casino & Night Clubs throughout Europe... a classic ten minute silent act that crossed frontiers and brought a unique and exciting element to the magic of the day... a stylish presentation of card & fire manipulation which was to become Colin's own... culminating in an offer to tour with 'Richiardi Jnr'... Budd Filippo was presenting "The World Festival of Magic & Witchcraft" for Richiardi starring the great man and featuring Maurice Fogel, Alan Alan, Omar Pasha and many other 'luminaries' from the world of magic... 'The Young Sorcerer of Fire Magic' as he was billed, while in this tour appeared at the Felt Forum, Madison Square Gardens, New York, and one evening in the audience was a small boy who had come to see the show with his Father, he was inspired by Colin's Fire & Card Manipulations... some years later that small boy grew up to be one of the finest card manipulators of all time... that small boy was 'Jeff McBride.'
